Life just doesn’t feel as good as you know it could be.

The pep in your step isn’t there like it used to be. Instead of grabbing your keys to meet a friend at the coffee shop, you decline the invite, deciding that staying home will be better for you.

And with all this change, staying focused is nearly impossible. Ever find yourself reading the same page over and over? Ever throw a load in the washer and forget about it… only to find it stinking like mildew three days later?

This is ABSURD!

Does rest feel like a distant memory?

The technology loop is life-sucking. From the moment you wake up, you grab your phone and impulsively open Facebook.

Then, you quickly check your emails, getting sucked into a message from your friend who’s looking for a recommendation. That takes you to your contacts, and you see a name that reminds you to check your calendar.

Now, you’re scrolling your calendar and realize something new needs to be recorded in your planner. It’s now 10 am, and you could kick yourself for wasting a whole precious morning on this stupid, digital rabbit trail!

And your family has never needed you more. Checking in on relatives and helping kids with homework… it never seems to end!

Then… there’s work. If you don’t work, you don’t get paid. So, each day, you get ready for work… almost mindlessly. Whether you log in or drive to work, you start the day with a fearful mindset:

Is this ALL there is??

When I teach the five steps to my clients, they learn how to work through the steps forward and backward depending on the situation.

If the situation is a trigger, they learn to work through it forwards to get what they want.

If they’re focused on a goal, they learn to work through it backward to set themselves up for success.

When your co-worker does that one thing that drives you crazy, you’ll realize you have more control over your feelings than you realized. Pull out that five-step model and start working through it. The power that an individual used to have over your emotions will be a thing of the past. You are in the driver’s seat now!

Or that exercise goal that you keep trying to achieve but falls flat after a week? Not anymore. Now you’re equipped with all the steps needed to carry out actual change.

I teach the model, and we practice it until you feel you have a good grip on it.

Your emotions are messengers.

They’re triggered by thoughts, beliefs, and judgments that we don’t even realize we’re making.

Once you figure out the emotional patterns in your life that keep you from feeling peace and joy, you’ll have more ease in creating the life you want.

The cause of your emotional hurdles won’t be there to trip you up every time you aim for that goal or deal with that difficult person.
